Services

Any or all of these are available: tracking, mixing, editing & mastering. Whether performing in the studio or live on stage, multitrack isolation of parts can be maintained. Each project is unique, that insures I bring fresh ears to each situation.

Attention to detail is essential in any recording. With spoken word it’s especially critical. Between breaths, lip smacks, stomachs growling and marbles in your mouth there is no shortage of things to get in the way of clear and understandable speech. This is a situation where critical listening, editing and mastering skills are essential. Whether it’s a 30 sec. voice over, storytelling, meditation guide, narration for film or audio books, all get the same attention.

Combining sounds from multiple sources is challenging. Understanding each components role in the final mix is what makes a soundscape move a person’s attention and emotions one direction or another. I think they call that “art.”

I can transfer reel to reel 1/4 & 1/2 inch recordings, etc. Also ADAT 16 or 20 bit, vinyl records 78, 33, 45, & 16 rpm, as well as cassettes. Noise reduction, click & pop reduction & dynamic processing are available. Transfers can go to cd or any digital sound file you need. It will sound better than it does now, if you’re able to listen to it at all.

I’ve been playing professionally since 1973, experience with jazz, latin/salsa, rock, blues, reggae, country, classical, and theater. My fortes are drumset and hand percussion, though I have some experience with melodic percussion as well. Several hundreds of pounds of drums and percussion instruments are available to choose from, 3 drumsets, 5 snare drums, congas, timbales, bags of assorted hand held instruments, and a Musser vibraphone. I love to play. If you need a percussionist in the studio, any studio, or on stage please give me a call.

If you want to record on your favorite grand piano, live from the stage, or if your mother won’t let you leave the house, I can bring a recording rig to you.

The big room is available for rehearsing. Equipment available: grand piano, PA system with microphones, drum set, bass amp and bass, vibraphone, and congas.
